"Sunshine" sits on the quieter, residential stretch of North Topsail Beach. Wide sandy beaches, low-key neighbors, no boardwalk crowds, no public beaches, no high-rise traffic. Just 7 miles from Surf City, the laid-back beach town that anchors the island, you get the best of both worlds: a peaceful residential beachfront with restaurants, shops, and entertainment a short drive away. Surf City is known for its family-friendly atmosphere, local seafood, boutique shopping, and the iconic Surf City Ocean Pier. Guests love visiting the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, fishing or strolling Seaview Pier in North Topsail and Surf City Pier, and exploring the sound-side boardwalks at Kenneth D. Batts Family Park. Our favorite local restaurants include Sears Landing Grill and Boat for waterfront seafood on the Intracoastal, Shaka Taco for laid-back outdoor tacos, Rick's for a casual steak night, and Daddy Mac's Beach Grille for beachside seafood with a view. Whether you're spending the day on the sand, fishing off the pier, paddleboarding the Intracoastal, or watching loggerhead turtle hatchlings make their way to the ocean (mid-May through mid-August), this stretch of coast delivers.

Getting around

The home includes free parking for at least four vehicles in the driveway. Topsail Island is connected by one main road that runs from North Topsail Beach through Surf City to Topsail Beach, making the whole island easy to explore in an afternoon. Restaurants, grocery stores, and shops are a 10 to 15 minute drive across the bridge — Publix, Food Lion, and Harris Teeter are all close by. Jacksonville and Camp Lejeune are about 30 minutes away, and Wilmington International Airport (ILM) is roughly 45 minutes, making fly-in trips straightforward. Whether you're walking out the back door to the beach or cruising the island for the day, getting around here is relaxed and convenient.
