Getting around
A car is the easiest and most reliable way to explore Beech Mountain and the surrounding High Country. Restaurants, trails, recreation areas, and the ski resort are spread across the mountain, and taxis, Uber, and Lyft are generally unavailable locally. Guests planning to visit during busy ski weekends should allow extra travel time and arrive early when heading to the resort because parking can fill quickly. Mountain roads can be steep and winding, especially near the top, so guests should drive carefully and check weather and road conditions before setting out. During snowy or icy weather, a four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle is strongly recommended, and tire chains or other traction equipment may be required. Once parked at the condo, guests can enjoy the community amenities on-site, but driving will still be the most practical option for reaching the slopes, dining, groceries, and neighboring towns. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance for your stay. You may opt for the coverage offered through the booking platform or use a provider of your choice. Please note that once the moderate cancellation window has closed, we are unable to provide refunds for unforeseen events such as all weather, travel delays, or illness. Trip insurance is the best way to protect your travel investment against these unexpected changes.
