From majestic great-room to the formal dining room, 70 feet of windowed walls offer breathtaking views of the open ocean and ever-changing Yachats Bay! Elegantly appointed with a curated mix of contemporary and antique furnishings, this special home is a unique blend of warmth and sophistication. Original artwork, Persian rugs, museum-quality minerals and fossils are displayed throughout, and the spacious rooms flow from one to another providing multiple gathering areas for entertaining or quiet retreat. The ocean views and incredible sunrise and sunset photos are just a taste of what you may see, all natural color and taken directly from the property! At the grachous travertine entry you'll be greeted by a stunning 1800’s antique parlor stove which overlooks the vaulted great room. There you’ll find two comfy seating areas and a quality Brunswick pool table tucked into one corner. French-doors open to the adjoining family room with a flatscreen TV, DVD player, stereo, cozy wood-burning stove (bring your own wood) and access to expansive decks. Through an ached opening lies the stunning chef's kitchen, outfitted with fine cutlery and appliances with more sweeping views! The large granite island makes this fabulous kitchen the hub of the house, with seating for 4 at the island and another 4 at the vintage breakfast table. Beyond is an elegant formal dining room that seats 12, or enjoy the expansive decks with barbecue, comfy adoranidak chairs, and a stylish custom picnic table for dining al fresco. Just off the entry is a garage/playroom set up for fun, with ping pong, foosball and another Flatscreen TV and DVD. All bedrooms are outfitted with beautiful linens. The oversized master suite is located on the main level and features a king-size Tempur-Pedic mattress for a dreamy night's sleep. On the same level is an even larger second bedroom with plush California king and twin-trundle for sleeping up to 4. On the lower level is a private queen bedroom and a full hallway bath plus more private space, comfy couches, a dining table and desk for work or games, a third flat-screen TV and a DVD player. There is a seperate laundry room and a second kitchen on this level, and the multi-use family room features two additional queen beds - an American Leather sleeper sofa (known as the most comfortable sleeper on the market with its memory foam mattress and no metal bars) and a quality Murphy cabinet-bed (with famously comfy high-end gel-foam mattress). Outside more decks lead to the HotSprings hot tub and down to the lower yard. With its perfect blend of forest and ocean, this very special property provides direct beach and river access from the yard, with designated walking trails in both directions. Tucked away in perfect privacy, the home has views of two gorgoeous State Parks on each headland. A quick stroll across the river to the south is a local favorite for kids and dogs, Yachats Ocean Road State Natural Site. South of there the Amanda Trail climbs through old growth cloud forest to Cape Perpetua, Oregon's highest coastal peak. Wander north, grab a latte along the way, and take a look off the Yachats State Park overlooking the churning confulence of river & ocean and natural black basalt bridges. From there the famous 804 Trail offers 1.7 magical miles of gentle scenic path following dramatic rocky bluffs with pocket beaches, tide pools and churning sprays, where it suddenly terminates from rugged black basalt into pure white sand and 7-miles of pristine flat beach, great for a day of play, or even a bike ride all the way to Waldport! For lovers of king tides and winter storms this amazingly diverse stretch of the Oregon Coast is simply a Must See. Even for those with limited mobility there's access to all the drama from Smelt Sands State Park, complete with viewpoints and seating. Just steps from your door are beaches, trails, parks, and the heart of downtown, where you’ll find coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, and groceries—all accessible within minutes. The famous 804 Trail runs directly through town and offers a beautiful oceanfront walking route to the north, while the Amanda Trail to the south connects to Cape Perpetua for more ambitious hiking. Biking is also popular here, especially for scenic rides along Highway 101 or down to nearby viewpoints, even directly on packed sand for 7 miles from Yachats to Waldport. If you do choose to drive, everything along the central coast is within easy reach: Florence and Newport are both about 25 miles away, and there’s ample free parking in town for quick stops or day trips.
