The house has 2 beach chairs and 3 beach towels for your use. After a day on the sand, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower, framed by cedar plank louvers for privacy and a classic coastal feel. Sunshine Lane is just a short walk to the ocean via a private boarded beach walk, and from the front porch you can glimpse both the sound and the Atlantic on clear days. Because Holden Beach faces south, winter months offer the rare chance to see both sunrise and sunset over the ocean — one of the unique natural features of this part of the North Carolina coast. For nature lovers, this end of the island is a peaceful stretch of sand that doubles as a great turtle-nesting area during the season — a truly special part of this North Carolina barrier island experience.
