The historic 1920s building was recently fully renovated, and this listing gives your group all ten units, the whole property. Every unit has its own kitchen (full-size oven, stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker), WiFi, a TV, heat and air conditioning, so everyone has their own space. When it’s time to gather, the huge shared deck hangs over the bluff with 180-degree views of the Pacific and Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge. The neighborhood Many people call Oceanside the hidden jewel of the northern Oregon Coast. Rocks shelter the town beach, so it’s calmer than most. At low tide you can walk through the tunnel at Maxwell Point (or around it) to tide pools full of anemones, sea stars and crabs. It’s also one of the best whale-watching spots on the coast. Gray whales pass from mid-December to mid-January, and again from late March to early June, and the deck is the place to watch. Breakfast and coffee are a block away at Blue Agate and Current Cafe. Roseanna’s is two doors down. Netarts Bay is a few minutes south, with crab boat rentals and clamming. Beyond that you can drive the Cape Meares loop, visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory (about 15 minutes), or take the scenic road to Pacific City. Other things to note • Event space: the Oceanside Community Center can be rented separately as a communal space for events. • Parking: the lot has ten unassigned spaces, one per unit, and there’s street parking right out front and along Pacific Ave. With every unit booked by one group, it’s worth carpooling. • Cell service is spotty in Oceanside. WiFi works in every unit, and reception is reliable in Netarts, 2 miles south. • Bring groceries. Oceanside has no market. The closest are in Netarts and a Safeway in Tillamook. • The beach stairs are steep but well kept. There’s a public beach access without stairs a block away.
