A Bright Downtown Portland Studio in the Heart of the City
On the corner of SW Jefferson and the South Park Blocks, this upper-floor studio puts you within walking distance of more Portland than most locals see in a month. Portland State University is steps away, the Pearl District is a 15-minute walk north, and the MAX light rail drops you anywhere in the city you can't reach on foot. If your version of a perfect Portland stay involves good coffee in the morning, the city's restaurant scene at night, and not once needing to find parking — this is the apartment.
The Studio
At 476 square feet, the layout is efficient without feeling cramped. Hardwood floors run throughout, large windows pull in natural light from the upper floor, and the open plan keeps the living and sleeping areas feeling connected rather than divided. It's the kind of space that works equally well for a focused work trip and a weekend of wandering the city — and the fast WiFi, in-unit washer/dryer, and fully equipped kitchen mean you're not giving anything up by staying here instead of a hotel.
The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher — enough to cook real meals if you want them, though with the restaurant density in this neighborhood, that's entirely optional.
The Building
Secure keypad entry, elevator access, and a quiet residential community of long-term and short-term residents. Secure bike storage is available if you're bringing your own or planning to rent — Portland's bike infrastructure in this part of the city is genuinely excellent. Additional storage is available in the building if you're arriving with more than a carry-on.
The Location
SW Jefferson puts you at the intersection of several of Portland's best neighborhoods without technically being in any of them — which means you can walk to almost everything.

- South Park Blocks and PSU Farmers Market: 2-minute walk
- Portland Art Museum: 5-minute walk
- MAX Light Rail (Library/SW 9th stop): 5-minute walk

- On-street parking available nearby for guests arriving by car
Self check-in with flexible arrival. The building is quiet and well-managed — a good fit for business travelers, university visitors, couples on a city weekend, or anyone who wants a home base that keeps options open rather than closing them down.

About the neighborhood
This studio sits in the South Park Blocks corridor, one of downtown Portland's most walkable and culturally dense neighborhoods. The Portland Art Museum, Oregon Historical Society, and PSU Farmers Market (one of the best in the Pacific Northwest) are all within a few minutes on foot. SW Broadway puts you in the middle of Portland's dining and café scene, and the Pearl District — with its galleries, boutiques, and restaurant density — is a short walk north. Powell's Books, Pioneer Courthouse Square, and the MAX light rail are all easily reachable without a car. For a city stay, the access here is genuinely hard to beat.

Getting around
This is one of the most car-optional locations in Portland. The MAX light rail (Library/SW 9th Ave stop) is a short walk from the building and connects you to the airport, the Pearl District, NE Portland, and beyond without touching a car. TriMet bus lines along SW Jefferson and SW Broadway add additional coverage across the city, and Portland Streetcar access is within easy reach for trips into the Central Eastside or NW 23rd.
For getting around the immediate neighborhood, most guests find they never need a vehicle at all — the walkability score in this part of downtown is exceptional. Lyft and Uber are reliably available when you want them.
If you're arriving by car, on-street parking is available in the surrounding blocks. Note that much of downtown Portland operates under permit or paid parking zones, so check signage carefully. The Smart Park garages at SW 10th/Yamhill and SW 4th/Yamhill offer affordable daily rates if you want a reliable covered option.
Cyclists will find this location particularly well-suited — secure bike storage is available in the building, and the city's bike lane network through downtown and along the Willamette waterfront is extensive.
