Getting around
A car is recommended. Free parking is available on-site. Within 15–20 minutes you'll reach Deep Creek Lake, Wisp Resort, grocery stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended for winter travel (Nov–Mar). *Getting to the Sky Valley Waterfront Area* From the house, it's a short drive down Ridge Road to Piney Point Drive. Piney Point Drive connects with Sky Valley Drive near the community's lakefront common areas where all the waterfront amenities are located. Deep Creek Lake access runs along the banks of both Piney Point Drive & Sky Valley Drive. Park in the lot at the top of the hill - you're steps from the lake. • Beach, Picnic Area & Roped Swimming Area Once you reach the waterfront off Piney Point Drive/Sky Valley Drive, you'll see the lakeside picnic pavilion, sandy beach, roped-off swimming area, and swimming docks. This is the easiest spot to find. • Boat Docks / Marina Area From the beach and pavilion area, continue along the shoreline toward the community dock and marina area. It's a short walk down the bank from the swim/picnic area. Your assigned dock is #81. Look for the number posted on the slip. • Kayak & Canoe Storage Racks (this can be tricky!) Between the beach area and the dock/marina zone, there's a narrow strip of woods that connects the two. The storage racks are tucked in that wooded path. It's easy to walk past if you're not looking for it. Your rack is #96. Here you’ll find 1 adult kayak and 2 kid kayaks (150 lb. weight limit).
