Proper food storage helps protect both our guests and Colorado's wildlife. Air Conditioning Air conditioning is not available and is uncommon in Colorado mountain homes. Thanks to South Fork's cool alpine climate, evenings and mornings are typically very comfortable. During warmer afternoons, simply open the windows and use the provided fans to circulate the fresh mountain air and naturally cool the cabin. Winter Travel Winter weather in the mountains can change quickly. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with appropriate winter tires is strongly recommended during the winter months and may be necessary during snowstorms. Because the cabin is located in a rural mountain setting, detailed turn-by-turn arrival instructions will be provided prior to your stay. GPS navigation may not always direct guests accurately. Travel Insurance We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance to protect their trip.
