Cozy, historic 1 bedroom apartment with queen-sided bed offering everything you need after a day of strolling through downtown. There is an optional twin pull-out sofa bed in the living room area. The apartment has a private entrance at garden level, no stairs. There is a well-equipped kitchenette for easy breakfasts, snacks, and relaxed nights in. The full bath has a walk-in shower. Paintings by local artists adorn the walls. The outdoor side patio area has a small table and two chairs. The unit has heat or air conditioning as needed. Please, no smoking on the premises. Harvey Park has benches and is directly across the street. A bit of History: the house was originally built circa 1850. The apartment served as a small store in the late 1800s. Please note, due to the historic nature of the property the apartment ceiling has several low areas measuring at a minimum height of 6'2". Enjoy beach days and easy Rockport wanders. If you want a Rockport stay where you can walk to the park or beach, grab a coffee, and wander around town without over-planning, this is a great pick. Bearskin Neck and Rockport’s town beaches are just a short walk away, so you can spend the day by the water, browse local shops and galleries, or have dinner then catch a show at the Shalin Liu Performance Center. Halibut Point State Park is also nearby when you’re in the mood for a scenic coastal walk and history lesson on one of Cape Ann's most prominent quarries. Rockport is an iconic seaside town of fishing boats, artists, shops, and restaurants. Our flat is in a prime village location near the harbor amidst shops and galleries. Located across the street from Harvey Park, the town green, enjoy weekly Farmers Markets (Spring through Mid-October) and annual festivals. Free parking on premises for one car. 1/2 block to Rockport Harbor. 1 block to Bearskin Neck. 10 minute walk to Front Beach and Shalin Liu Performance Center. 15 minute walk to Commuter Rail into Boston or our local Cape Ann Community Cinema.
