On Foot (Downtown Packwood) You can completely skip the driving once you return from the trails! Our home is located right off Main Street, meaning you are a flat, easy 1 to 3-minute walk from downtown Packwood's best spots. You can easily stroll over to Packwood Brewing Co., local coffee stands, the mountain market, and casual dining without ever having to hunt for parking. Keep an eye out—it’s incredibly common to see the local herd of elk wandering right through town and near the property! By Car (The Mountains & Beyond) While town is walkable, a personal vehicle is highly recommended to experience the area's main attractions. To Mount Rainier & Paradise: The Stevens Canyon Entrance to the park is just a 15-minute drive away. From there, it’s a stunning, winding mountain drive up to Paradise (about 40 minutes total from the front door). To White Pass Ski Area: Simply hop right onto US-12 East for a straightforward, scenic 25-minute drive to the ski lifts and hiking trails.
