Creekside Lodge | Walk to Downtown + Private Creek As an older property, it offers a unique and authentic feel rather than a modern, uniform design. Guests seeking privacy and direct river access will find this home to be an excellent choice and a truly special place to unwind. We work hard to keep this home affordable and accessible so more guests can enjoy our beautiful area. As a well-loved and frequently visited home, none of the furnishings or amenities are brand new, but everything is maintained to provide a comfortable and practical stay. If you’re looking for a clean, budget-friendly place to relax and explore the region, this home is a great fit. When we describe it as older or well loved or well traveled, we simply mean the property shows normal wear from years of use and many furnishings and finishes have seen better days. Discover the best of both worlds at Creekside Lodge, a peaceful waterfront retreat on the edge of downtown Buena Vista. Nestled on more than two private acres along Cottonwood Creek, this spacious 5-bedroom lodge offers the perfect setting for family vacations, group getaways, retreats, and outdoor adventures, all within walking distance of the Arkansas River, local restaurants, breweries, shops, and trails. Please note: The home comes with a "starter kit" of Toilet paper and paper towels. If you are in need of any additional supplies City Market is 2 miles from the home. Propane for the Grill The home is not stocked with propane refills. If the propane tank(s) provided at the property are empty, guests who wish to use the grill will need to obtain a refill or exchange from a local propane vendor during their stay. The Space Private Creekfront Setting Wake up to the sound of flowing water and spend your days enjoying one of Buena Vista's most unique properties. Relax beside Cottonwood Creek, cool your feet in the shallow pools, unwind in a hammock beneath the trees, or watch deer wander through the neighboring 8-acre wooded open space. With expansive outdoor gathering areas and exceptional privacy, it's easy to forget you're just minutes from downtown. Spacious Group-Friendly Layout With over 3,000 square feet of living space, Creekside Lodge comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests. • 5 bedrooms • 3.5 bathrooms • Multiple living areas • Large gathering spaces for families and groups • Two spacious decks overlooking the property Whether you're planning a reunion, yoga retreat, workshop, fishing trip, or mountain vacation, there's room for everyone to spread out and relax. Fully Equipped Kitchen & Dining The fully stocked kitchen sits between two outdoor decks, making group meals effortless. Brew coffee while listening to the creek, gather for family dinners, or enjoy evening cocktails surrounded by nature. Mountain Comfort This is a charming, well-loved Colorado lodge with an eclectic Southwestern style and plenty of personality. Rather than a brand-new luxury home, it offers authentic character, spacious living areas, and an unbeatable creekfront setting that keeps guests returning year after year. Everything is maintained for a comfortable and practical stay while providing excellent value for larger groups looking to experience Buena Vista without paying luxury-home prices. No Air Conditioning Like many mountain homes in Buena Vista, this property does not have air conditioning. Thanks to the area's high elevation, cool evenings, shaded creekside setting, and fresh mountain air, opening the windows at night typically keeps the home comfortable throughout the summer. Explore Buena Vista Outdoor adventure begins right outside your door: • Walk to downtown Buena Vista's restaurants, breweries, galleries, and shops • Arkansas River access just 1/4 mile away for rafting, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing • Minutes to Cottonwood Pass and Chalk Creek Canyon • Easy access to the Collegiate Peaks hiking and biking trails • Mount Princeton Hot Springs approximately 7 miles away • Scenic drives, wildlife viewing, and endless mountain recreation in every direction Good to Know • Sleeps up to 12 guests • Private Cottonwood Creek frontage • Over 2 acres bordering wooded open space • Walking distance to downtown Buena Vista • Large decks and outdoor gathering spaces • The back porch features a low awning overhang, so please use caution while walking or standing in that area. • No air conditioning Whether you're planning a relaxing creekside escape, a mountain adventure, or a memorable gathering with family and friends, Creekside Lodge delivers the rare combination of private waterfront serenity and walkable access to everything Buena Vista has to offer.
