Getting around

During winter, guests should be prepared for changing mountain conditions. A 4WD or AWD vehicle with appropriate winter tires is highly recommended, especially during or immediately after snowfall. South Fork is just a short drive away for restaurants, groceries, fuel, coffee shops, and local outfitters. Wolf Creek Ski Area is approximately 7.5 miles away, making it easy to reach the slopes while still enjoying a peaceful mountain setting. Cell service and road conditions can vary throughout the surrounding national forest, so downloading maps and directions before heading out to more remote trails, fishing areas, or OHV routes is recommended.
