About the neighborhood
This cabin is located in Forest Lakes Estates, one of Arizona’s most peaceful
high-country communities along the Mogollon Rim. Known for its towering Ponderosa
pines, cool mountain air, spacious cabin lots, and quiet forest setting, Forest Lakes is a
favorite escape for guests looking to trade desert heat and city noise for fresh air, starry
nights, and outdoor adventure.
The area sits at roughly 7,500 feet in elevation, giving it a true mountain feel with cooler
summers, crisp fall weather, and occasional winter snow. Wildlife sightings are common,
and guests may see elk, deer, birds, and other local wildlife throughout the area.
This location is especially appealing for guests who want access to Rim Country
recreation. Woods Canyon Lake, Willow Springs Lake, Black Canyon Lake, hiking trails,
fishing areas, picnic spots, kayaking, paddleboarding, scenic drives, and forest roads
are all within the surrounding region. It is a great home base for lake days, hiking
weekends, snow play, off-road exploring, or simply relaxing in the pines.
Forest Lakes feels tucked away and private, but it still offers convenient access to
Highway 260, local essentials, and nearby communities including Payson,
Heber-Overgaard, Christopher Creek, and other Rim Country destinations.
