Tucked into the gated Leatherwood Mountains community in Ferguson, North Carolina, this home sits in the heart of the North Carolina High Country. The surrounding area is known for its quiet mountain roads, working horse trails, and sweeping Blue Ridge views, with the resort's own amenities —horseback riding, a seasonal pool and pavillion, basketball, fishing, and miles of hiking and riding trails — all just a short walk or drive from the house. Saddlebrook Resturaunt offers a variety of different cuisine and is located in the heart of Leatherwood. Beyond the gates, the High Country towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are a short drive away, known for their shops, restaurants, and mountain scenery, with Banner Elk close by as well. Wilkesboro is about 20–30 minutes out, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is roughly 30 minutes from the property, offering some of the best scenic driving in the state. For a longer day trip, Grandfather Mountain and The Blowing Rock are about an hour away, and Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are approximately 2 hours out — making this a peaceful home base with easy access to everything the North Carolina mountains have to offer.
