About the neighborhood
Located in a quiet residential pocket of Santa Rosa Beach, this home offers a laid-back coastal atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing after a day on the water or at the beach. The neighborhood around Foxmeyer Drive is known for its peaceful, local feel, with a mix of full-time residents and vacation homes tucked among trees and open spaces.
One of the biggest advantages of this location is the easy water access. The property is just over a mile from the boat launch at East Hewett Road Boat Launch, making it convenient for guests bringing boats, jet skis, or other watercraft. From there, you can quickly reach the bay for fishing, boating, and exploring the waterways of the Emerald Coast.
While the neighborhood feels quiet and removed from the crowds, you’re still only a short drive from the famous white-sand beaches of South Walton Beaches and the scenic communities along 30A. Local restaurants, seafood markets, grocery stores, and beach access points are all within a few minutes’ drive.
Guests love this area because it offers the best of both worlds—a calm, local neighborhood where you can park your boat or jet skis easily, while still being close to beaches, dining, and everything that makes the Santa Rosa Beach area such a popular destination.

Getting around
Visitors in the Santa Rosa Beach area will find getting around fairly easy, though your options depend on how far you want to go and what kind of experience you’re looking for. Having a car is the most flexible way to explore the area, allowing easy access to beaches, boat launches, grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions. While golf carts or scooters are popular for navigating quieter residential streets, many rental companies offer them for short-term use, providing a fun and convenient way to explore nearby neighborhoods. The area is also bike-friendly, especially along 30A and quieter side streets, making it easy to reach local shops, restaurants, and beaches, though longer distances may make biking less practical than driving. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available, and local taxis can be used, although they may be slower than app-based options. For those with boats or jet skis, the nearby East Hewett Road Boat Launch—just over a mile away—provides quick access to the bay and surrounding waterways for fishing, boating, or sightseeing. Overall, having a personal vehicle makes it easy to enjoy both water activities and the nearby beaches, dining, and attractions without relying on public transportation.
