Cool mountain evenings and fresh alpine air typically provide comfortable temperatures by simply opening the windows. This home is located in a secluded mountain setting where wildlife including deer, elk, foxes, bears, birds, and other native species are commonly seen. Please observe wildlife from a safe distance and secure all food and trash. Mountain weather can change rapidly throughout the year, and AWD or 4WD vehicles with appropriate tires are strongly recommended during winter months. Snow, ice, and road conditions can change quickly. Occasional power, internet, or cellular service interruptions may occur due to weather or rural mountain infrastructure and are outside of our control. At nearly 7,900 feet in elevation, guests are encouraged to stay hydrated, limit alcohol consumption on arrival day, and allow time to acclimate to the altitude. The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna are provided for your enjoyment. Children should always be supervised, and all amenities are used at guests' own risk. As with any mountain destination, seasonal insects, pine pollen, dust, and natural elements are part of the authentic Colorado experience. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment. Mountain weather, road closures, flight delays, wildfire activity, illness, and other unforeseen events can affect travel plans and are not eligible for refunds outside of our cancellation policy.

The home is located on 38 private acres just outside Del Norte, offering a peaceful setting while remaining within a short drive of area attractions. Del Norte: Approximately 15 minutes Wolf Creek Ski Area: Approximately 45 minutes Historic Creede: Approximately 30 minutes Great Sand Dunes National Park: Approximately 1 hour Rio Grande National Forest: Minutes away with access to hiking, fishing, ATV, and mountain biking trails The property offers ample free on-site parking with plenty of room for multiple vehicles, trailers, and outdoor gear. Roads are well maintained, but mountain weather can change quickly. During winter months, AWD or 4WD vehicles are strongly recommended, and guests should check road conditions before traveling. Ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are extremely limited in this rural area, so we recommend arriving with your own transportation. The scenic drives throughout the San Luis Valley and San Juan Mountains are part of the experience, making this home an ideal basecamp for exploring Southern Colorado.
