Located along US-160 between Del Norte and South Fork, the home offers convenient access to hiking, fishing, horseback riding, scenic drives, and year-round mountain recreation. Wolf Creek Ski Area is approximately 30 miles away, making Pioneer Ridge a comfortable basecamp for winter ski trips and summer adventures. The Space The main home features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, inviting gathering areas, and plenty of space for families and groups to relax together. Private Apartment A separate one-bedroom apartment is also located on the property and may be rented independently, subject to availability. It is not automatically included with the main-home reservation. Guest Access Guests renting the main home will have access to the main house and its designated outdoor areas. Keys are provided for entry. A backup lockbox is available if needed and is located on the right porch post when facing the sidewalk. The separate apartment has its own entrance and lockbox. Apartment access is only provided to guests who have separately reserved that unit. To open either lockbox, open the shutter, enter the provided combination, press the release button, and pull the lockbox door fully open. When using a backup key, please return it to the lockbox immediately after opening the unit so it remains secure and available throughout the stay. A/C Disclaimer: Air conditioning is provided for guest comfort; however, during periods of extreme heat, the system may not be able to maintain unusually low indoor temperatures. Guests should keep doors and windows closed while the A/C is operating and avoid setting the thermostat below 68°F to help prevent the system from freezing or becoming damaged. Rocky Mountain Things to Know Mountain conditions can be beautiful, remote, and unpredictable. Please review these details before booking: • A two-night minimum stay is required. • The private apartment is rented separately and is not included with the main-home reservation. • A personal vehicle is necessary for exploring the area. • Public transportation and rideshare services are extremely limited. • The property is located near US-160, so some roadway noise may be noticeable. • Winter storms may create snow-packed or icy roads. Four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and appropriate winter tires are strongly recommended during snowy conditions. • Weather conditions can change quickly at higher elevations. • Wildlife may be present near the property. Never feed or approach wild animals. • Internet and cellular service may occasionally be affected by weather or regional outages. • Outdoor fires must follow all local fire restrictions. The firepit may be unavailable during periods of elevated wildfire danger. • Guests should consider travel insurance, especially during winter and wildfire seasons. • Early check-in and late checkout are not guaranteed and must be approved in advance. Short-Term Rental Consumables Starter Pack The home is stocked with a practical starter supply of essential toiletries, paper products, kitchen basics, and cleaning items before each guest arrival. These supplies are intended to help guests settle in comfortably and cover the beginning of their stay. Starter supplies are not unlimited. Guests staying for longer periods or traveling with a larger group may need to purchase additional paper products, toiletries, laundry supplies, trash bags, coffee, or other household essentials during their visit.
