A Single-Level Medford Home Near Rogue Valley Wineries, Jacksonville & Crater Lake
Medford sits at the center of Southern Oregon's Rogue Valley, and this single-level home puts you within minutes of the places people actually come here for. Downtown Medford is about 10 minutes away, historic Jacksonville is 15, Ashland is 25, and Crater Lake National Park is a day trip. The airport and I-5 are both close, which makes this a practical base whether you are here to taste wine, hike, or just have a quiet place to land between days out.
The Home
Vaulted ceilings and an open-concept layout carry natural light through the living room, dining area, and kitchen, so the whole group can spread out without splitting up. The kitchen is set up for real cooking: a center island, four-burner stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, and the pots, pans, oil, salt, and pepper you need to make a meal rather than just reheat one. The living room has a TV, WiFi, air conditioning, and heating, so the house is comfortable in a Medford summer and a Rogue Valley winter alike.
Sleeping Arrangements
This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sleeps up to five guests, all on one level with no stairs. The primary suite has a queen bed, a walk-in closet, and a private attached bathroom with a double-sink vanity. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with two twins, and the third bedroom has a full bed. Both bathrooms are full baths, so nobody is waiting in line before a day trip.
Outside
The backyard is fully fenced and landscaped, which is what makes this home work so well for travelers with a dog or kids who need room to run.

About the neighborhood
This home sits in a residential pocket of northwest Medford, just south of Central Point and about a mile west of I-5, which puts most of the Rogue Valley within an easy drive. Downtown Medford is roughly 10 minutes away, with the Craterian Theater, Vogel Plaza, and the Thursday Rogue Valley Growers and Crafters Market along Central Avenue. Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport is about 7 minutes from the door, and the Rogue Valley Mall is close by for groceries, pharmacies, and everyday errands.
Central Point, just north, is home to the Rogue Creamery and the Lillie Belle Farms chocolate shop, both worth a stop on the way out of town. Jacksonville, about 15 minutes west, is the historic gold-rush town where the Britt Music & Arts Festival runs summer concerts on the hillside, and it is the gateway to the Applegate Valley wine trail. Ashland, about 25 minutes south, brings the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Lithia Park.
For time outside, Upper and Lower Table Rock trails and the Rogue River are a short drive north, and the Bear Creek Greenway offers a paved path for walking and cycling through the valley. Crater Lake National Park is about an hour and a half by car, making it a full-day trip that starts and ends comfortably from this location.

Getting around
A car is the right way to get around from this part of Medford. The neighborhood is residential, so groceries, restaurants, and most errands are a short drive rather than a walk, and the home is about a mile from I-5, which makes it easy to get anywhere in the Rogue Valley. Downtown Medford is about 10 minutes, Central Point is just north, Jacksonville is about 15 minutes west via Highway 238, and Ashland is about 25 minutes south on I-5. Crater Lake National Park is reached via Highway 62, the Crater Lake Highway, in about an hour and a half. Free parking is available on-site.
Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport is about 7 minutes from the home, and rental cars are available at the terminal. Uber and Lyft both operate in Medford and are reliable for trips into downtown or to the airport, though wait times can be longer for rides out to the wineries or Jacksonville, so plan those with a car.
Public transit is limited. Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) buses serve Medford, Central Point, Jacksonville, and Ashland from the Front Street Station hub downtown, but routes and frequency are not built around visitors, so most guests will not rely on them. For cycling and walking, the Bear Creek Greenway runs a paved path the length of the valley from Central Point through Medford to Ashland.
Winter driving note: Highway 62 toward Crater Lake and the Siskiyou Summit on I-5 south of Ashland can require chains or traction tires during snow events. Check ODOT TripCheck before heading out.
