Getting around
Getting There: Your Journey to South Maui Welcome to Maui! Getting to Pacific Shores A404 is a straightforward and scenic 25–30 minute drive from Kahului Airport (OGG). Here is everything you need to know to make your arrival as smooth as possible. Airport & Arrival Airport: You will fly into Kahului Airport (OGG). The Drive: Once you leave the airport, you’ll head south through the central valley. Keep an eye out for the stunning views of Haleakala to your left and the West Maui Mountains to your right! Distance: Approximately 14 miles. Travel Time: Usually 25–30 minutes, though it can take 40+ minutes during "pau hana" (afternoon rush hour, 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM). Rental Cars vs. Turo While Kihei is very walkable, we highly recommend having a vehicle to explore the Road to Hana, sunrise at Haleakala, or the hidden beaches of Makena. Rental Car Center: Maui has a modern consolidated rental car facility (Conracc) accessible via a quick, free electric tram from the baggage claim. All major brands (Hertz, Enterprise, etc.) are located here. Turo (Local Favorite): Many guests prefer Turo for a more "local" feel. Many Turo hosts offer airport delivery or "shuttle" service to a nearby lot. It’s often a great way to get a Jeep or a convertible for those sunny island drives! Pro-Tip: Book your car as early as possible. Rentals on Maui are in high demand and prices fluctuate based on the season. Rideshare & Shuttles Uber/Lyft: Both are readily available at OGG. Follow the signs to the designated "Rideshare" pickup zone at the end of the terminal. A one-way trip to Kihei typically costs between $45–$65, depending on demand. SpeediShuttle: A great option if you prefer a pre-booked shuttle service directly to the resort. Finding the Unit Address: 2219 S. Kihei Rd, Kihei, HI 96753. The "A" Building: You are staying in the front building, which is the closest to the beach. Parking: We provide one reserved parking space with your stay. We will send you the specific stall number and check-in instructions 3 days before your arrival. Elevator Access: Building A features a central elevator, making it easy to get your luggage up to the 4th floor. Quick Stops Along the Way If you want to stock up before you arrive: Costco: Located just 2 minutes from the airport. It’s the best place for bulk snacks, reef-safe sunscreen, and cheap gas. Whole Foods/Target: Also located in Kahului near the airport for any specialty items you might need.
