Located close to Forsyth Park, Change of Place Unit B is the upper two floors of a large house. The large 2,000 square foot abode accommodates 10 guests. Feel the history in this renovated house that has the original floors, high ceilings, pocket doors, antique fireplace mantels, stair railings, and more enhanced by modern convenience throughout the two stories. It is furnished to let you feel the past while enjoying the present. Step inside and find yourself in the entryway with a staircase leading to the next level and an archway to an expansive living room with ample seating and a flat-screen TV. Large windows let in plenty of sunshine. There is seating for ten in the airy living room and at the large table in the adjacent dining room. Beside the dining room is the study with a full bed and attached bath, and at the rear of the house is the fully-equipped, light-filled kitchen. On the upper level are three sleeping chambers and two additional bathrooms. The front bedroom has a king-sized bed and attached bath, the middle room has two daybeds with trundles, and the rear bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Each room has a flat-screen TV and ceiling fan. The middle and rear rooms share a full bathroom furnished with two vanities. With a spacious common areas, a fully-equipped kitchen, seven beds and three baths the house can comfortably accommodate ten people. Central heat and air, cable service with HD channels, Wi-Fi, washers and dryers, and ceiling fans, and off-street parking for 2 cars are provided. Getting around Savannah is easy with walkable streets and plenty to see just about everywhere. You can hop on and off the free Chatham Area Transit DOT shuttle throughout the Historic District (there is a stop near Change of Place). A great way to maximize your time in the city is to take one of the many organized tours. You can select from tours that fit your interest, such as Civil War or ghost tours, or you can take a fun mode of transportation such as a horse-drawn carriage or an old-fashioned trolley. The City Market, River Street, Victorian District and Historic District are Savannah's most popular neighborhoods for sight-seeing, a look at historic architecture, and a variety of shopping and eating options. Among the many history and art museums to visit are are the Savannah Visitor Center and History Museum, the Georgia State Railroad Museum, Mercer Williams House Museum, the Andrew Low House Museum, Telfair Museums, Beach Institute African American Culture Center, and the American Prohibition Museum. Savannah's calendar stays busy year-round.
