Sitting at 7300 feet elevation: Log Cabin Overlooking Moab, Canyon Lands, and Arches National Park Escape the crowds and discover true peace at The Cabin, a stunning 1,700 sq. ft. modern retreat perched on Wilson Mesa at 7,300 feet. We offer spectacular, low-light-pollution views of the Moab Rim, the La Sal Mountains, and Arches National Park—making this your ultimate base camp for adventure. We believe adventure shouldn't mean sacrificing comfort. This cabin blends rustic charm with modern convenience: Creature Comforts & Key Features Spectacular Vistas: Enjoy breathtaking views from the wrap-around deck, where hummingbirds often greet you at the feeders. Secluded Privacy: Located on a half-mile private lane, you are completely isolated from crowds and noise pollution. Stay Connected & Entertained: HI-Speed Fiber cable internet, Good cell service, a 52-inch flat-screen TV with a family movie inventory, and games. Rest & Refresh: Three cozy bedrooms with soft down comforters, two full bathrooms, and hot showers. Chef's Basecamp: Modern kitchen with all the gadgets, a BBQ grill, and a fire pit (subject to fire restrictions). Currently closed due to fire restrictions imposed by forest service. Mountain Location: The cabin is approximately 13 miles east of Moab and just minutes from the Slickrock, Porcupine Rim, and Kokopelli trailheads. There are three routes to the cabin: Sand Flats Road, La Sal Mountain Loop Road, and Castle Valley. The La Sal Mountain Loop and Castle Valley routes are paved for most of the drive, with the final several miles on gravel roads. Important road information: The direct route from the Slickrock entrance to the cabin is only about 13 miles, but it is a winding, mountainous, county-maintained gravel road with significant elevation changes. The scenery is spectacular, but this is not a quick 13-mile drive. Plan on approximately 45 minutes from Moab, and allow more time in poor weather or after road damage. A high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended. The final half-mile to the cabin is a privately maintained dirt road that can develop ruts, washouts, mud, or rough sections depending on weather and recent use. The La Sal Mountain Loop route is longer but paved for most of the way and is also very scenic. Travel time is still approximately 45 minutes. Important Booking Notice (Safety & Scheduling) Due to our cleaning crew's scheduling needs and to ensure the highest standard of cleanliness, a 24-hour buffer between all guests is strictly enforced. Check-out: 9:00 AM Check-in: 24 hours after the previous guest’s departure (e.g., if a guest checks out Monday at 9 AM, the next check-in is Tuesday at noon). Calendar: Please account for this buffer when viewing the calendar. We will confirm your correct booking dates upon reservation.

There are three cabins on their own acreage bordering our cabin with part-time seasonal residents. Each is private and unseen from the cabin. Keep in mind that the drive to downtown Moab takes 45 - 50 minutes.

This is a private country cabin on 7.5 acres private property on the Wilson mesa overlooking the Moab Rim, There is a meadow in front that serves as a parking spot big enough for multiple vehicles and an RV. Keep in mind that the drive to downtown Moab takes 45-50 minutes.
